Job Summary Dorset County Hospital is looking for a motivated and experienced Radiographer to join the team providing additional flexible working shifts. Experience in CT, MRI or Mammography is advantageous. The Diagnostic Imaging Department at Dorset County Hospital is a cohesive, friendly and forward‑looking department. This is a Bank role; engagements are day‑to‑day and you may choose whether to accept them. The role is not available for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Main Duties The post holder will provide additional ad‑hoc shifts to supplement the current team at Dorset County Hospital, and may support community services at Bridport, Blandford, Weymouth and Sherborne Hospitals. In‑house education and training (e.g. CPD evenings) will be available. Person Specification Essential Evidence of technical skills in general radiography Ability to communicate with patients, relatives and all levels of staff Understanding of clinical governance and how it relates to Diagnostic Imaging service Ability to facilitate multidisciplinary working Ability to organise and manage the daily running of the general department and/or specialist area HCPC registration BSc in diagnostic radiography Considerable postgraduate experience in Radiography Evidence of continuing professional development Experience of working in a multidisciplinary imaging team Desirable Development of knowledge and skills in a specialty area Ability to participate in CPD training sessions by delivering training Post graduate qualification in Radiography Experience of training and supervising junior staff and students Evidence of participation in departmental audit Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and requires a submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
