Every day we work closely with families, carers and communities to help shape brighter futures.From supporting children and families to empowering people with disability, mental health or those seeking refuge we are here to break down barriers and build better lives.Join us to discover a purpose you can wrap your heart aroundEmployment TypeMaximum Term Full Time (12 month contract)LocationNewcastle with flexible hybrid working arrangementsResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with children, young people, their families and carers within the Tamworth & New England region to create and implement case plans that strive towards achieving the permanency goals of those we support.Build and maintain strong functional relationships with the children and their families ensuring that every voice is heard and every need is met.Support and monitor placements, guide carers in their foster care journey, and help them implement effective strategies that best support children and young people within their care.QualificationsRelevant bachelors degree such as Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or similar (a qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)Previous case management experience within an Out of Home Care (OOHC) / Child Protection settingExperience supporting Children & Young People with disability who have experienced backgrounds of trauma, abuse and/or neglect.Working understanding of the NSW Permanency Support ProgramUnderstanding of trauma and its effects on children and young peopleCurrent unrestricted driver's licenceSuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NSW Working with Children CheckHow to ApplyInclude your resume and covering letter in one document, click Apply and follow the prompts.
