Brand ManagerThe R&A, St Andrews, Scotland, United KingdomTo lead the development and execution of brand strategy, identity and initiatives that drive awareness, engagement and loyalty and achieve organisational objectives. This role is responsible for shaping the brand positioning and narrative, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver impactful brand application and campaigns that resonate with our target.Key AccountabilitiesContribute to the strategic and creative thinking and planning for all brands within The R&A’s portfolio.Work with the Head of Brand & Campaigns to ensure that brand positioning, messaging and identity is robust, impactful and supports all commercial and reputation objectives of the business. Work with the brand team to develop creative ideas to visually support the brand strategy and positioning.Conduct, contribute to and interrogate market research and competitive analysis to inform brand strategy, positioning and campaign development.Implement the brands across The R&A portfolio, ensuring that they are authentic, accurate and in line with strategic positioning, ensuring accuracy across all mediums and channels and authenticity of messaging, narrative and tone of voice.Ensure that physical brands are properly translated and represented on digital channels – developing digital brand strategy, tone and guidelines.Track brand measurements in relation to awareness, perception and affinity and campaign development and prepare reports for senior leadership.Implement the overall campaign strategy ensuring alignment and optimisation to achieve strategic objectives. Lead the planning and delivery of a campaign platform aligned to the strategy that will be adopted by all campaign touchpoints.Lead on delivering strategic and creative solutions for brand awareness – including briefing and managing agencies – and the subsequent project management and orchestration of brand application and integrated marketing campaigns across marketing, digital, social, print, commercial and experiential channels.Drive brand awareness and affinity by ensuring brand campaigns tie into appropriate brand communication across all platforms, both online, offline and on-site.Lead external agencies in the development and implementation (where relevant) of the brand development and campaigns.Build strong relationships internally and externally with a view to increasing awareness levels of brand positioning, campaign activity and active support through implementation. Work closely with the Content, Marketing and Communications teams on editorial alignment, scheduling, production requirements, media engagement and implementation across multi-channels.Leverage syndication, distribution and talent relationships where relevant to increase the reach of campaigns.Fulfil any operational responsibilities at The R&A’s professional and amateur championships as required.Assist the Head of Brand & Campaigns in creating an environment of high challenge and support that will encourage team and personal growth.Resource ResponsibilitiesResponsibility for relationship and partnership management with key agencies and stakeholders.Management of budget spend throughout the financial year, with responsibility for ensuring that projects are being completed within budget and that all spend is being appropriately logged and reported.Management of project management software, ensuring efficient and cost-effective project delivery.Lead, manage and develop the Brand & Campaigns Co-Ordinator, working with the Head of Brand & Campaigns to ensure their personal and career development are progressed in line with the expectations of the Commercial Department and the overall business.Expertise / QualificationsDegree level qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent level of formal training, or extensive experience of working in a brand management/marketing environment.Considerable experience of successfully implementing brand strategies and internal and external campaigns.Experience in delivering multi-channel solutions.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionMarketing and SalesThis job description is written as an indication of the nature and scope of duties and responsibilities.
