Lunchtime Supervisor

Overview The Priory Learning Trust (Somerset Business Award winner for Employer of the Year) is looking to recruit a Lunchtime Supervisor to work at our Berrow Primary Church Academy. Role We are looking for a friendly, empathetic and caring Lunchtime Supervisor for our small primary school. The role will include supervising and engaging with the children during playtime, monitoring and encouraging good eating habits, rewarding good behaviour and social skills and building relationships. This is an ideal opportunity to begin a career in education. Responsibilities Oversee children at lunchtime and lead play activities. Listen to the children and encourage their play, while maintaining discipline in the playground as needed. Promote student well-being by encouraging them to develop good relationships with others, develop self-reliance and self-esteem, and practice good standards of personal health and hygiene. Requirements / Qualities Ability to work flexibly within a team and motivate students. Good interpersonal skills with both adults and children. Understanding of the developmental needs of children. Ability to maintain confidentiality. First Aid qualification desirable but not essential. Experience of working with children desirable but not essential.
