OverviewWe are seeking a skilled CNC Setter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the production requirements of works orders and production schedules are met in line with the Company’s work instructions and quality standards and procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and edit existing CNC programs, select the correct tooling to complement alterations within the process.Upload / Download programs, set machines and monitor/inspect production tool offsets and operate the machine until batch is complete.Monitor tool wear, adjust offsets, and replace tooling when necessary, ensuring correct operation of the machine.Produce components accurate to drawing.Ensure all work tasks, procedures and documentation meet the requirements of ISO 9001.Ensure paperwork is complete in an accurate and timely manner.Take responsibility for the work area ensuring high standards of housekeeping at all times.Demonstrate good team working ethic and commitment to the highest quality standards.Always follow health and safety requirements.Shared ResponsibilitiesTo comply with the Business Information Centre (BIC) and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out duties.To ensure and promote safe working conditions for all employees, visitors and contractors by implementing, monitoring and complying with occupational health & safety provisions.To embed our WeLEAD competencies – I build trust, I create value for the customer, I enable others, I provide direction, I embrace diversity, I deliver results.Reporting RelationshipsMachine Shop SupervisorSize of team / environmentWorking in a team of 18 in one of the most advanced machine shops in the UK.Your QualificationsEducation / QualificationsGood standard of secondary educationCollege qualification in an engineering discipline or NVQ is desirableRelated ExperienceIndustry experience of a working machine shop is essentialMid/High volume manufacturing experience is desirableIdeally Milling experienceEssential Skills & CompetenciesTime served apprenticeshipCNC Machine Centre experienceDesirable SkillsExperience with Machining Centre and Mazak machining centersUnderstanding of SPCThe Draeger Workplace & Benefits27 days holiday plus bank holidays, with option to purchase up to 3 additional daysDiscounted critical illness cover, dental cover and partner life assuranceHealthcare cash planSubsidised canteenDiscounted shopping & leisure vouchersSalary sacrifice car schemeCycle to WorkGym membership discounts – up to 25%Charity Giving schemeEEO StatementDräger is an equal opportunity employer.
