AWS DevOps Engineer with strong SRE skills to join a busy BAU operations team in West London (2 days per week on site).You’ll be responsible for keeping mission‑critical platforms stable, secure, and performant while continually improving automation, observability, and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and enhance AWS‑based production platforms in a BAU/SRE capacityOperate and optimise containerised workloads using AWS ECS and Kubernetes (K8s)Design, maintain and improve Infrastructure as Code using TerraformImplement and maintain configuration management via Ansible and PuppetBuild, maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines (GitHub‑based workflows)Own and improve monitoring, logging and alerting using Grafana (and related tools such as Prometheus/CloudWatch)Define, track and improve SLIs/SLOs and error budgets to drive reliabilityParticipate in incident management, root cause analysis and post‑incident reviewsContribute to security, backup, DR and cost‑optimisation best practices on AWSWork closely with developers, QA and other stakeholders to ensure smooth releases and stable environmentsKey Skills & ExperienceStrong, recent experience as a DevOps Engineer/SRE in production AWS environmentsHands‑on experience with:AWS ECSTerraform for Infrastructure as CodeAnsible and/or Puppet for configuration managementGrafana for dashboards and observability (Prometheus, Loki, CloudWatch, etc. a plus)GitHub (Actions or other CI/CD tooling built around GitHub)Solid knowledge of Linux systems, networking and security fundamentalsExperience running and supporting 24/7 production systems (on‑call or out‑of‑hours incident support a plus)Strong understanding of SRE principles – SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident management, capacity planningGood scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and toolingNice to HaveExposure to GitOps approaches (e.g. ArgoCD, Flux)Kubernetes, EKSFamiliarity with AWS security best practices and compliance frameworksExperience in high‑availability, high‑traffic environmentsContract DetailsLength: 3‑month initial contract, likely until at least end 2026Extensions: Strong possibility of long‑term extensions based on performance and project needsRate: Market rates, outside IR35Engagement: Outside IR35, 2 days per week ideally on site, West LondonHow To ApplyIf you’re an AWS DevOps Engineer/SRE with solid experience across AWS ECS, K8s, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Grafana and GitHub, and you’re keen on a BAU‑focused contract role with long‑term potential, please send your:CV/ResumeShort note outlining relevant experience and availabilityDesired day rate (outside IR35) #J-18808-Ljbffr
