Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.com Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Risk Management Professional/Director to join our busy and expanding Scotland Infrastructure Risk team who are supporting a range of high‑profile infrastructure projects, programmes and clients. The role will involve supporting the development, management and leadership of our Scotland Infrastructure Risk team in addition to feeding into our national risk management community. You’ll be joining at a key moment, with the opportunity to mentor and shape a talented junior team and build a high‑performing risk function in Scotland. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of risk management in Scotland, influencing client strategy, internal capability, and market positioning. Key Responsibilities Lead: Manage and delegate activities of the Risk Management team on complex projects or programmes. Communicate with Senior Management / Stakeholders to deliver updates. Accountable for: Brief the team on the project scope to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood. Develop and maintain leadership relationships with interfacing disciplines. Line management activities including career development and performance management. Drive: Continuous improvement in Risk Management (and interfacing disciplines) processes to create efficiency and increase benefits to our clients. Implement, embed and roll‑out any identified changes to Risk Management processes. Promote: The benefits and requirements of Risk Management within the project and programme team. Provide: Subject matter expertise. Expert analysis (e.g. QCRA, QSRA etc.) to relevant stakeholders and senior management, supporting effective decision making. Training and coaching to clients and less experienced team members on Risk Management processes and practices. Support: The management of the risk management team and associated business operation activities. Turner & Townsend’s recruitment activities to grow and develop the project controls capability. A UK driving licence or the ability to travel to client sites across the region, as required, is essential. Qualifications Tangible experience in managing and delivering Risk Management on complex projects/programmes is essential. Experience of interfacing with other project disciplines is essential. Experience in leading Risk Management teams is essential. Practical experience of several risk standards or approaches (ISO31000, APM, Orange Book, IPA), of quantitative risk analysis and associated software (e.g. Safran, @risk, PRA etc.) and comparative experience of risk tools (ARM, Predict, Risk Controller, riskHive, Xactium) is essential. The ability to work in both delivery and transformation projects is desirable. Familiarity with NEC contracts is desirable. Security clearance requirements is desirable.
