This is a pivotal role, reporting directly to the VP Engineering, where you’ll drive technical excellence, fleet reliability, and sustainable support across our mission-critical platforms.What You’ll Be Doing:Lead engineering delivery across multidisciplinary teams including Design Office, CAMO, Manufacturing, and MRO.Act as the principal authority on engineering decisions for programme fleet delivery.Collaborate closely with Programme Managers and Directors to shape bid strategies and technical solutions.Manage engineering risks, opportunities, and regulatory compliance.Represent engineering in customer engagements, bid work, and contract sustainment.Drive continuous improvement and innovation across engineering functions.Ensure delivery against key performance indicators and contractual milestones.What We’re Looking For:A recognised apprenticeship or degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.Proven leadership in complex, regulated environments – ideally aerospace.Strong understanding of CAA and UK Defence (MAA) regulatory frameworks.Experience managing engineering delivery in a VUCA environment.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at all levels.Commercial awareness and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.Knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 45001, 14001).Experience with evaluation techniques and business process optimisation.Our employee valuesDraken is committed to eliminating unlawful and unfair discrimination and we celebrate the differences that a diverse workforce brings.
