OverviewHALO (Hostile Artillery Locating System) is a state-of-the-art long-range acoustic weapon locating system designed to meet the increasing threat of electronic warfare based targeting and anti-radar weapon systems countering radar-based weapon locating systems.We are recruiting for an Electronics Analogue Design Engineer to be part of a team supporting our next generation Hostile Artillery Locating System development. Starting at the beginning of the engineering lifecycle you will assist with requirement and architecture definition and maturation, design new PCB level electronics to work alongside COTS modules and work with the wider project team to support integration and qualification.What you’ll do as Principal/Lead Electronics Analogue Design EngineerDevelopment of hardware solutions with a mix of in-house PCBs and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) modulesDeveloping power supply and cabling solutionsSupporting Systems Engineers develop requirements and architectureSupporting the integration of hardware, firmware and softwareSupporting qualification activitiesWhat we need from youKnowledge and experience of all stages of the engineering development lifecycleExperience of PCB level design (schematic capture)Experience of power supply and cabling designDFx knowledge specifically Design for EMCIntegrating in-house designs with COTS modules (power supplies, single board computers, RF interfaces)Integration and verification of hardware systemsAwareness of Safety, Security and other legislative constraintsIt would be nice if you hadDomain experience in low noise analogue electronicsThis is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above.
