Main Duties Interventional radiology procedures are performed on a Philips Azurion 7 system in the main imaging department and we also have Philips Allura Clarity equipment dedicated to interventional procedures in a hybrid theatre suite. Job Details Date posted: 08 December 2025 Pay scheme: Agenda for change Band: Band 6 Salary: £38,682 – £46,580 (per annum pro‑rata) Contract: Permanent Working pattern: Full‑time Reference number: 279‑7498352‑DEC25 Location: Royal Sussex County Hospital, Eastern Road, Brighton, BN2 5BE Responsibilities The Radiographer will be expected to work as a core member of the Interventional Radiology team at the RSCH site. Undertake a wide range of clinical duties, providing a high‑quality imaging service and supporting diagnosis and treatment of patients, encouraging and supporting colleagues. Ensure the department delivers exemplary service and experience to patients and members of the public. Ensure departmental adherence to Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2017 and Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR) 2017, and Trust policies, protocols and guidelines. Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team, both within Imaging and outside the department. Support the Superintendent Radiographers to ensure smooth day‑to‑day running of the Interventional and Neuro Interventional Radiology Departments. Participate in the 7‑day extended day and out‑of‑hours rotas, providing a high‑standard emergency service for the RSCH; commitment to some weekend shifts as part of core working hours. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Degree/Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography HCPC registration Previous NHS experience Experience in trauma and A&E plain‑film radiography Experience in general radiography (plain film, mobile, theatres and fluoroscopy) Desirable: Experience in Interventional Radiology Experience in Neuro Imaging Experience in cross‑sectional imaging Evidence of patient‑focused care Understanding of Patient First and Trust values Evidence of team working within Imaging Evidence of working in a wider multidisciplinary team Awareness of IR(ME)R 2017 and IRR 2017 regulations Awareness of Health and Safety (RIDDOR, COSHH, Health and Safety at Work Act) Data Protection/GDPR awareness Equality, Diversity & Inclusion: Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role) Additional requirements: Visa sponsorship available under the UK Visas & Immigration Skilled Worker route (subject to UKVI criteria).
