Role: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: South West (Hybrid – 1 day per week in office)

Salary: Up to £40,000 + bonus

Our client, a leading IT services provider, is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to deliver high-quality technical support across their client base. This role is predominantly Helpdesk-focused, with the opportunity to engage in occasional project work and regional site visits when required.

What you’ll do

Provide 2nd/3rd line Helpdesk support to a range of clients

Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain modern network infrastructure

Support Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, and Intune/Entra ID

Deliver remote and onsite technical assistance, ensuring excellent customer service

Assist with project delivery and technical assessments as needed

You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing IT solutions that make a tangible difference to end users.

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in IT infrastructure and Helpdesk support (2nd/3rd line)

Strong understanding of modern networking principles (DNS, DHCP, routing, IP subnetting)

Experience supporting and optimising secure network environments

Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure/Entra ID

Familiarity with web filtering, email protection, and backup technologies

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoy taking ownership of technical issues through to resolution. You’ll thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment and be confident engaging with clients both remotely and onsite.
