Pharmacy Colleague – Asda – Huyton (Permanent, Part‑time, 20 hours/week, £12.60/hr) About The Role We need a friendly & organised colleague to work in our on‑site pharmacy. The role involves assembling & processing prescriptions, driving awareness of additional services such as the Prescription Collection Service and Medicines Use Reviews, supporting the pharmacist with patient services (blood pressure checks, stop‑smoking schemes, etc.) and maintaining accurate record keeping. Working hours are flexible – you will work days, including weekends (which are required). We will collaborate to fit the shifts around your lifestyle. On‑boarding includes an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and subsequent training to become a Dispensing Assistant. Key Responsibilities Accurate assembly and processing of prescriptions. Provide good customer service, including discussing health issues and recommending products. Drive awareness and promotion of pharmacy services such as Prescription Collection Service and Medicines Use Reviews. Support the Pharmacist with patient services, including blood pressure checks and stop‑smoking schemes. Maintain accurate records and adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures. Collect prescriptions from doctors’ surgery and deliver ready for collection. Qualifications & Skills Pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Good computer skills and attention to detail. Capacity to communicate well with customers. Friendly, highly organised and enthusiastic about helping people. Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.
