OverviewGuardian Industries is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician role within our Goole, East Yorkshire facility. The plant operates a 24/7 manufacturing environment and has invested in a new furnace to secure glass manufacture for the next 20 years. The plant is a lower tier COMAH site and part of a team that supports internal customers.What You Will DoDrive continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiativesSupport a proactive safety cultureMaintain a clean and organized working environmentPerform day to day activities of the Maintenance department, including but not limited to:Breakdown rectification / resolution / follow-up completionPlanned maintenance activitiesImprovement activitiesStrive to improve equipment reliabilityDemonstrate ability and knowledge to maintain machinery in good repairAssist in decision making to repair or replace equipmentTroubleshooting, repairing and maintaining manufacturing process equipmentEnsure machinery is safe to operateInstall and maintain safety equipmentFlexible, adaptable, ability to work overtimeWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Have a recognised craft apprenticeship in mechanical engineeringFabricating experience (desirable)Be qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (desirable)Experience of compressor & vacuum systemsExperience with conveying systemsExperience with mobile handling equipmentGood verbal and written communication skillsGood teamwork capabilities with the ability to self-motivate and work on own initiativeContribution mindset to continually improve and transform yourself and the businessWhat Will Put You AheadMore than five years’ experience as a Maintenance TechnicianKnowledge to repair and maintain belt conveyors, pneumatic and hydraulic systemsBe qualified to HNC level in a relevant disciplineFLT/MEWP experienceWhat Guardian Industries offerCompetitive SalaryMonday - Friday shift pattern - 7:30am - 4pmGenerous annual leave entitlement which increases with service and department performanceContribution Pension PlanLife AssuranceWellbeing Interventions – On site Physio, PodiatristSupport for charity and family eventsWho We AreAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
