ROLE PROFILE This position provides exposure to global financial markets and risk management. Key responsibilities include assessment of financial resources, key reporting, and IT system change management. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as LCH CROs, heads of business, IT, audit, compliance and regulators. Your ability to work both independently and within a team to build products is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Risk Monitoring Run daily, weekly and monthly reports for monitoring policy exceptions across all financial risks (Market, Liquidity, Collateral, and Investment Risk). Ensure policies and procedures comply with the regulatory environment. Maintain sufficient financial resources for LCH including stressed periods. Provide regular reporting and information sharing with the LCH board(s). Support regulatory requirements and senior management requests. Risk Change Improve processes by migrating monitoring tools to automated solutions (Tableau, Python, Oracle SQL). Ensure objectives are clear, agreed, and documented. Maintain Risk Governance. Implement robust project management to avoid delays and cost overruns. Assist in origin and completion of business requirements. Conduct functional and end‑user testing where appropriate. Exposure Management & Default Management Measure and manage market risk exposures within a coherent limit framework following LCH policies and procedures. Assess member risks across markets comprehensively rather than in silos. Aggregate risks by type and product. Identify and evaluate other risks (e.g., liquidity risk) not captured in margin models. CANDIDATE PROFILE Degree in quantitative finance, mathematics, economics, science‑related discipline or equivalent. Advanced Excel and programming skills, particularly Tableau, Oracle SQL, Python and VBA. Experience with process automation and enhancement. Strong exposure to financial securities and markets. Experience measuring, evaluating and managing risk exposure. Strong conceptual and technical knowledge of financial risk management across all asset classes. Highly motivated, able to work independently. Well organised, prioritises work and meets goals. Positive attitude towards own work and the wider team.
