Wherever you want to go, we’ll help you get there. BAM UK & Ireland are looking for a Civil Engineering student looking to complete a 2026 Summer placement. Placement Details Summer Placements: 8-12 week placement anytime from May 2026 – September 2026. Your Responsibilities Will Include Communicating effectively at all levels including site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, planners, engineers, supervisory staff operatives, suppliers, third parties and client representatives. Maintaining high personal standards in health and safety. Maintaining high standards in environmental awareness and behaviour. Supporting quality delivery through effective planning and right‑first‑time delivery. Monitoring and recording delivery against the agreed programme and construction methods. Maintaining good working relations with client, designer, supply chain and others. Ensuring that works are accurately and clearly set out before work commences. Your Team Be part of a major low‑carbon infrastructure programme at Hinkley Point C, one of the UK’s most significant new nuclear power stations. BAM is delivering enabling works, including large‑scale earthworks, complex terracing, and the development of critical site infrastructure. This is a technically demanding and high‑profile role: you’ll be working on excavation of millions of cubic metres of material, construction of access roads, and long‑term site preparation to support future reactor construction.
