Fuel Market Manager Location: West Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom 2 days ago – Be among the first 25 applicants. Job Summary: As Fuel Market Manager, you will maintain an effective portfolio of C&I and MSW disposal customers, maximizing company and plant financial, operational, and strategic objectives in the marketplace. Responsibilities Maintain a portfolio of C&I and MSW disposal customers to achieve maximum profitability. Manage delivery of strategic outcomes detailed in Fuel Strategy, Business Plan, Budget and site‑specific Market Plan. Provide input to facility and corporate personnel on market development initiatives. Oversee and deliver specific projects such as waste by rail, exports/imports, biosolids treatment, and other business development/fuel projects. Act as the primary “hunter” for waste to provide sufficient fuel for facility operations, ensuring optimal capacity and best value. Schedule and manage delivery volumes to the facility in accordance with contract conditions, maximizing waste revenue while minimizing cost impacts. Participate in budgeting activities; track waste revenue impact on facility P&L; provide budget and forecast guidance. Interact with company counterparts on asset enhancement activities around existing/potential projects. Develop and maintain market knowledge for pricing and sustainable fuel supply plans aligned with Business Plan and Market Plan. Qualifications and Experience Demonstrable experience in the waste management industry with a background in fuel sourcing and sales. Experience in waste business operations and logistics. Understanding of government procurement laws and competition laws. Knowledge of waste types (EWC codes) and their sources and origins. Experience with waste exports/imports (beneficial but not essential). Experience in alternative non‑hazardous waste markets (beneficial but not essential). Experience in waste characterisation testing (beneficial but not essential).
