About The Role The SUSTAIN project brings together three of the UK’s most research‑intensive and ambitious universities – Sheffield, Swansea and Warwick – together with the UK’s most CO2‑intensive industry and its supply chain. The shared vision of the SUSTAIN partners is to transform the steel supply chain from a reliance on CO2‑intensive commodity products to a flexible & responsive sector where energy and resource are used and reused far more effectively. Purpose of the Post Build and maintain strong networks across academia, industry, and policy to support collaborative research and maximise the visibility and impact of the project. Plan, manage, and provide operational support for the delivery of the SUSTAIN annual conference. Develop and deliver a strategic dissemination and engagement plan, in collaboration with the Project Manager and Senior Admin Assistant, targeting academic, industrial, government, and public audiences throughout the project lifecycle. Promote the project nationally, ensuring a strong UK‑wide presence across the hub and spoke institutions and associated networks. Create and manage high‑quality multimedia content to communicate project goals, achievements, and partnerships across digital platforms, including websites, social media, and press outlets. Support talent development and visibility, including liaising with students and staff to promote opportunities across partner institutions to enhance the skills pipeline into academia and industry; develop, implement and update resources allocation plans needed for the project taking account of availabilities and scheduling. Develop and agree the budget for the project and control forecast and actual costs against this budget. Level 1 can be reached by completing a one‑hour course.
