Base pay range VEHICLE CONVERSION TECHNICAN Pay: £17.00 per hour + enhanced overtime rates We are looking for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Conversion Technician to join our team at E-ppl. As a leading supplier of managed services in the automotive industry, we work with major OEMs across the UK and overseas. Our projects range from carefully planned launch support to reactive quality campaigns. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly skilled team supporting a premium customer who creates specialist vehicles for emergency services. You will be working on bespoke, one‑of‑a‑kind conversions on an ongoing basis. We are seeking a passionate and flexible individual who loves working on unique projects and can adapt to a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Fabricate bespoke parts and assemblies Perform glass fitment and the removal and refitting of interior trims Work to detailed vehicle build specifications Complete general modifications to original vehicle builds Fit and assemble metal, wood, and laminate components according to customer specifications Use site equipment and hand tools safely and effectively Adhere to all company health and safety procedures Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional workshop environment Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask Able to work both independently and as part of a team Proficiency in using hand tools and basic cutting machinery Ability to read and interpret plans, instructions, and diagrams Flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure Benefits Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Friday 7:00 am - 12pm Contract: Ongoing contract, paid via a limited company or umbrella company (Outside of IR35) Hourly rate of £17 per hour plus enhanced overtime rates The successful candidate must be able to achieve NVVP1 and BPSS security clearance We are a Forces-friendly and equal opportunities employer.
