Benefits Access to learning and development tailored to your role An environment with flexible working options A working culture which encourages inclusion and diversity Parking Main duties of the job To lead the systems management, administration and business requirements of the Centre for Defence Radiology (CD Rad) in the delivery of its Mission to provide a Defence-wide Radiology capability (including teleradiology, digital archiving, training, education and research) in order to support the Armed Forces at home and on deployment. The post holder will provide strategic direction and be responsible for the operational management of the CD Rad Systems, including the Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Image Exchange Portal (IEP), and other integrated software systems. They will have overall responsibility for the current operation and future developments of these systems. They will contribute to the development of operational performance protocols and radiology policy by employing audit and risk management tools and strategies. Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to: Lead and manage the CD Rad team, including staff recruitment, training, development, and appraisals. Serve as the expert resource for all aspects of RIS/PACS and associated clinical systems, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, and user support. Monitor and maintain system performance, addressing issues and resolving problems promptly to minimise disruption to clinical services. To offer advice on the procurement of new radiology equipment and services related to PACS integration to ensure Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) compliance of the equipment.
