Person Specification Knowledge Knowledge of Optometry, Optics, orthoptics, Ophthalmology IT skills including knowledge of hospital systems Qualifications Batchelor of Science in Optometry or equivalent qualification Registration with the General Optical Council Clinical teaching qualification Further Training Keeps up to date with current literature and keep evidence of CPD activities Additional training/CPD relating to learning disabilities Experience Experience in clinical optometry Experience of Optometry in a hospital setting Experience of working with children including those with additional needs Experience of delivering student supervision Contractual Requirements Provide optometry service for Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
