We're recruiting a Senior Support Worker to lead frontline delivery of personalised, high-quality, and compassionate support to individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. You'll be part of a dedicated team delivering tenancy support, housing management assistance, and wellbeing services tailored to individual needs. Eastfield is a high support needs service, supporting people with multiple and complex needs such as substance use, mental health and physical health. This does not involve any personal care or administering any medication. Role and responsibilities Coordinate and deliver support plans addressing tenancy sustainment, substance use, mental health, housing needs, and personal development. Responsible for coordinating and maintaining staff rotas for their service. Work directly with individuals to help them achieve their goals, build life skills, and improve health and wellbeing. Act as a keyworker and oversee support delivery, ensuring accurate and professional records. Liaise with external partners, including housing teams, healthcare services, and advocacy groups. Provide leadership on shift and supervision to support workers in the absence of the Team Leader. Promote inclusion, empowerment, and trauma‑informed practice in all areas of support. Essential Skills and Attributes A recognised social care qualification at SCQF Level 6 or above. Experience working in adult social care, ideally in homelessness, housing support or mental health. Confident in report writing, support planning, and using digital systems. Understanding of SSSC codes of practice and Care Inspectorate standards. Strong values of compassion, dignity, and respect for all. Ability to read, speak and write in English at CEFR level B1 or higher. Commitment to the values and mission of Care Support Scotland, and to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. Desired skills and attributes Previous social care practitioner (skilled worker) experience. Previous supervisory experience. Previous specialist training experience directly related to the role. Additional Notes Shift work, weekend work may be a requirement of this role. PVG scheme membership. SSSC registration are requirements of this post.
