Housing Officer – temporary until December 2027 Are you passionate about working with people? We have an exciting, fixed term role within our Housing Management team working with our tenants and their families across North West Leicestershire. We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills to join our busy team as a generic Housing Officer who will be responsible for a patch of properties within the district, dealing with all aspects of Tenancy and Estate Management. The responsibilities include managing rent arrears, allocations, low level anti-social behaviour and estate issues within the allocated patch. The role includes promoting resident involvement and empowerment which will involve attending some Tenants’ Association meetings in the evenings as and when required. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high quality customer service with a smile on their face and have experience working in Housing Management for a social housing provider. Candidates must be both able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The role will be a mixture of home working and working from the council offices in Coalville. Responsibilities Manage rent arrears, allocations, low level anti-social behaviour and estate issues within the allocated patch. Promote resident involvement and empowerment, attend Tenants’ Association meetings. Deliver high quality customer service with a smile on your face. Work effectively independently and as part of a team. Perform duties both from home and from the council offices in Coalville. Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in Housing Management for a social housing provider. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Benefits 36.25 hours per week with an annual salary of £32,597–£36,363 (pro rata to length of contract). Agile working scheme with a combination of home and office working. 34 days holiday (including bank holidays), increasing to 38 days after 5 years (pro rata to length of contract).
