You will review and assure new and existing data processing activities providing the Information Asset Owner (IAO) Project Manager, DVLA Chief Data Officer, SIRO and DVLA Data Protection Manager (DPM) with the assurances and risk profile in order to inform any decision making. This is a great opportunity to work in a diverse and varied role, which not only offers exposure to both Internal and External stakeholders but also provides the chance to gain an excellent understanding of DVLA at an organisational level. Top Responsibilities Developing DPIAs in respect of high-risk processing activities in accordance with UKGDPR, incorporating related legislation and guidelines and associated guidance issued by relevant regulatory authorities, through to ensuring timely sign off by relevant parties including the Information Asset Owner (IAO). Providing advice and guidance to Operational Service Management, Service Designers, Project Managers and other relevant stakeholders, to ensure compliance with the UKGDPR legal requirement, to ensure Privacy by Design and Default and assure data processing activities. Managing requests to share or process personal data in line with agreed governance, ensuring there is a legal gateway to do so, data protection principles are adhered to, and data is protected accordingly, and incidents managed under the relevant controller/processor responsibilities. Providing a positive stakeholder / customer experience, through the understanding of often complex and diverse legal, regulatory and data security requirements to ensure a quality of service and undertake regular self‑assessments to improve customer / stakeholder service.
