Expanded Structures Senior Project ManagerExpanded Structures is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join our work-winning function. This role will be based in our Dartford office and then move out to the delivery of a project following successful bid.Expanded Structures Expanded LtdScope of workReinforced Concrete StructuresThe Expanded Group provides total capability in the early construction phases of major projects, providing an end-to-end solution or a bespoke choice of services. Backed by a central technical design and engineering resource, we can deliver the full range of piling, precast concrete, post-tensioning and structures techniques.Role & responsibilitiesContribute to the achievement of safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrencesDeliver the sub project to the client within budget, quality assurance standards, on programme and to stringent safety parametersWork with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short-term programmes of workAssess the staff capability and performanceManage the budget and delivery of the section of the projectProvide accurate and timely reporting of progress against the planEnsure adoption of innovative ideas from within the business and from the workforcePlan the programming of day-to-day resource requirement and communicate these to the construction teamInterface with other construction managers and section managers to share best practice and ensure effective resource utilisationMonitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of changeLead section meetings to review safety, quality, progress and design; achieve commercial requirementsEnsure effective implementation of Laing O Rourke project management systems and proceduresContribute to the contract review processClient and tenant liaisonAssist with design developmentAct as person responsible for permit to work proceduresQualificationsDegree qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent)Extensive reinforced concrete structures experienceMasters - desirableExperience delivering large-scale projects as a number 1Bidding experience is beneficial but not essential10-15+ years of experienceAbout UsLaing O'Rourke are an international engineering and construction company delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure and buildings projects for clients in the UK, Middle East and Australia.Certainty, reliability, quality - this is what our clients want.
