Overview Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist – Echocardiography We are seeking a dynamic and conscientious Echocardiographer to work at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work at the Barts Heart Centre, St Bartholomew’s Hospital located in The City of London, with rotation to one of the other sites within the Trust network (Newham Hospital) and contribute to the weekend working rota on a rotational basis. This role will provide exposure to a variety of complex cardiac pathologies and clinical situations. Responsibilities Provide echocardiography services with independence in line with BSE/EACVI transthoracic accreditation requirements (or international equivalent). Work at the Barts Heart Centre with rotation to other sites within the Trust network and participate in weekend rota on a rotational basis. Contribute to the cardiac physiology team and echo service, including supervision and training of staff in the performance of their roles. Qualifications and Experience Full BSE/EACVI transthoracic accreditation (or international equivalent) and ability to work independently providing this service. About the Department and Career Development The department holds dual accreditation with both the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) and European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI). The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking individual who will contribute to the cardiac physiology team and echo service.
