The Role Preparing the monthly accounts, including the posting of accruals and pre-payments, making decisions and recommendations as appropriate Preparing and reviewing management accounts pack to include informative, value‑adding analysis Completing and presenting monthly balance sheet reconciliations Ensuring the accounts comply with current financial regulations and meet the expectations of the audit process Identifying opportunities to improve processes and take ownership of introducing these improvements Implementing new controls where applicable Supporting in the budgeting and reforecasting process Fostering relationships with stakeholders and driving change in the business Developing and maintaining financial analysis and reporting as required Continually improving monthly analysis as the business grows, to ensure it remains relevant Supporting the smooth and efficient running of the department by maintaining spreadsheets, data and reporting and assisting across the wider team as required Liaising with auditors and assisting with queries Checking and posting monthly payroll and providing insightful analysis on any variances What You'll Have You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with previous management accountant experience You will have an eye for detail, with commitment to precision You are a problem‑solver and love seeking solutions to drive financial optimization You are comfortable dissecting and analyzing complex financial data Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Great relationship‑building and collaboration skills Retail experience is desirable, but not essential You’ll Be Rewarded With Competitive starting salary and great career prospects in a fast paced and growing business 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays and a day off on your birthday Company‑funded private health insurance and access to Smart Health Life assurance Discretionary bonus scheme 50% staff discount Summer hours - 3pm finishes every Friday throughout June, July & August Bespoke induction support and ongoing development to help you thrive in your new role A welcoming and inspiring work‑environment - take advantage of Yoga classes, social activities, an early finish on pay day and more #J-18808-Ljbffr
