Pre-Academy Goalkeeping Coach (Part-time) Location: CPFC Academy Training Ground, BR3 1NZ Contract Type: Part-time Salary / ROP: Competitive Application Deadline: 5th December 2025 About the Club: Crystal Palace Football Club is a Premier League club with a proud history of over 160 years. About this role: Reporting into the Head of Academy Goalkeeping, the part‑time Coach will support the U9–U16 Lead GK Coach in planning and delivering goalkeeping sessions and fixtures across the Foundation and Youth Development Phase. Responsibilities Develop goalkeepers within the Pre‑Academy squads and oversee their technical, tactical, physical and social development. Provide a high standard of coaching to the respective age groups, aligning with the Crystal Palace Academy philosophy and GK fundamentals. Ensure all Academy players adhere to the club’s values, showing respect and discipline. Assist players in setting individual short‑ and long‑term goals and creating Individual Development Plans. Maintain a professional relationship with parents and guardians of the players. Complete CPD (Continuous Professional Development) to maintain coaching qualifications. Identify players available for games and communicate additional requirements to the Lead Phase Coach promptly. Attend weekly coaches’ meetings as instructed by the Academy Manager/Head of Academy Coaching (when required). Plan, prepare and deliver 6‑week Individual Player Review Meetings. Assess trialists at training and games and provide feedback to the Lead Phase Coach. Attend tournaments and trips when requested by the club. Demonstrate good time‑keeping and preparation before sessions; collaborate with the coaching team to ensure sessions commence on time. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the line manager. Uphold and promote the club’s policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities.
