Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/Therapist Apply for the Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/Therapist position with Islet Systems, a partnership of the Devon Partnership NHS Trust. Job Summary Provide formulation‑based individual, group, family and team interventions within an inpatient eating disorder service. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, deliver specialist psychological care, supervise junior staff and contribute to service development. Responsibilities Lead the group programme and manage an individual and family caseload. Supervise Assistant Psychologists, trainees, and volunteers. Provide specialist assessments and evidence‑based psychotherapeutic interventions (CBT, EMDR, formulation). Collaborate with the MDT in inpatient and day‑programme settings; disseminate person‑centred formulations and offer training. Maintain a specialist caseload and offer clinical guidance to patients, families, and professionals. Work autonomously within professional guidelines and oversee systematic governance of psychological practice. Receive and provide regular professional and clinical supervision in line with Trust policy and the British Psychological Society guidelines. Qualifications & Registration Qualified Clinical Psychologist (D.Clin.Psychol.) or equivalent, eligible for Chartered Clinical Psychologist status. Registration with HCPC/UKCP or another recognised regulatory body. Experience Demonstrated experience in diversity awareness and social inequality. Experience in eating disorder assessment and treatment across inpatient, community, and outpatient settings. Experience in teaching, training, or supervision (desirable). Key Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal, non‑verbal and written communication skills. Ability to integrate complex clinical data, make skilled evaluations and decisions, and adopt a long‑term perspective. Strong organisational, planning and time‑management skills. Calm, methodical, friendly yet concise communication style; clear telephone voice. Capacity to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate as part of a clinical team. Tolerance for ambiguity and resilience in challenging service contexts. Project management skills (desirable).
