Job Title Head of Solutions Strategy Business Schroders Capital Division Schroders Capital Solutions Location London, UK (Monday‑Thursday in office, occasional 5‑day weeks) Reports to Global Head of Schroders Capital Position Overview We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Head of Solutions Strategy to lead Schroders Capital Solutions’ mission of delivering innovative, outcome‑oriented, and multi‑private asset solutions to clients globally. This senior leadership role is accountable for shaping and executing the strategic direction of the Solutions business, driving cross‑functional collaboration, external thought leadership, and delivering scalable, bespoke investment strategies across the private markets spectrum. You will chair and guide the solutions strategy team, serve as a lead ambassador with global clients, and ensure continuous enhancement of Schroders Capital’s offering within an evolving and competitive landscape. Key Responsibilities Set strategic priorities and objectives with leadership and vision. Define and execute the roadmap for private markets solutions, aligning investment capabilities with platform capabilities, client demand and market trends, including high‑potential segments such as Wealth and Institutional Client segments. Lead the origination, development, structuring, and delivery of complex, bespoke or comingled, multi‑private asset portfolios and structures, including fund‑of‑one mandates, evergreen vehicles, and thematic strategies across all forms of engagement including consultant‑led RFIs, strategic partnerships, marketing campaigns, etc. Represent Schroders Capital Solutions at the most senior levels with clients, industry bodies, and regulators. Lead, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing solutions strategy team, fostering a commercially driven, client‑centred culture. Cultivate, expand, and manage strategic relationships with institutional clients, consultants, and strategic partners. Anticipate market trends, regulatory shifts, and technology advances, ensuring solutions are cutting‑edge, compliant, and future‑fit. Support Schroders Capital’s brand and Schroders Capital Solutions as a global leader in bespoke private markets portfolio construction and solutions authoring white papers, insights, and marketing materials. Governance, risk and regulatory oversight: contribute to product committees, ensuring robust governance and alignment with fiduciary and SC processes standards. Required Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications Recognised as a leading solutions specialist or strategist within global private markets or alternatives. Extensive experience (typically 12+ years) in investment solutions, portfolio construction, origination, and client delivery across a major asset manager, consultancy, or investment bank. Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing teams, with a prestigious client network. Strong understanding of private markets, in particular private equity, private debt and credit alternative, real estate, infrastructure, and alternatives structuring for institutional and wealth clients. Strong knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to UK, EMEA, and global institutional investors. Track record of thought leadership and external market influence. Outstanding analytical, commercial, and communication skills able to operate credibly at C‑suite and decision‑maker level. Degree in finance, economics, business, or related field; post‑graduate or professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CAIA) preferred.
