Be among the first 25 applicants. About the Role At New Barn School, you will have the freedom to bring creativity and practical teaching expertise to life. You will lead flexible, person‑centred programmes of study, tailoring learning to each pupil’s needs and helping them achieve meaningful outcomes. Deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects, plan and assess teaching sessions in line with curriculum development, and create stimulating learning environments both inside and outside the classroom. Write, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), set achievable targets, and build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage participation and motivation. Supporting pupils with complex needs and promoting their social, emotional and behavioural development will also be a key part of your role. Key Responsibilities Lead flexible, person‑centred programmes, tailor learning, deliver lessons across subjects, plan and assess sessions, create stimulating environments, write and review IEPs, set targets, build positive relationships, support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development. What We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / PGCE Experience teaching a broad range of subjects at Primary level, delivering lessons of a good or outstanding standard Knowledge of current education practices, curriculum frameworks, and SEN provision Experience in specialist or SEN settings, supporting pupils with SEMH/EBD or challenging behaviours Creativity, patience, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving in the classroom Work Arrangements Four‑day working week (4DWW) trial – one day less per week while receiving full‑time pay (subject to successful completion of probation). Work 80% of contractual hours for 100% of pay.
