Overview We are excited to be offering an opportunity for a psychological therapist/MBT therapist to join us on a part time basis. The post is for 22.5 hours per week (0.6 WTE) and it's based at the C&E Centre, Chelmsford. However, the successful candidate will be required to spend one day a week at the Gables, Braintree. If you are a clinical/counselling psychologist or psychotherapist without MBT accreditation and with a specialist interest in this field, we can offer MBT training through the NHS scheme, as long as you already posses a registration as a qualified generic clinician. Responsibilities The main duties of this post are the psychological assessment of clients with complex and severe presentations and the delivery of MBT groups and one to one sessions, as part of a comprehensive MBT programme for adults. The successful candidate will work with other MBT therapists in the service. Job share: Applications for job shares are welcomed Requirements We are looking for someone competent and experienced in delivering psychological assessments and interventions within the context of the NHS. Experience of offering consultations and developing clinical formulations that meet the needs of clients with emotion dysregulation and trauma histories is essential. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience with clients who experience severe emotional disturbance, often with a history of trauma and multiple morbidities. The post-holder will be expected to contribute to multi-disciplinary treatment planning, research, audit and service evaluation.
