Asbestos Project Manager – Stevenage

About the Role Our client is a major player within the asbestos industry and has a reputation for delivering quality and professional asbestos and environmental service to a mixed portfolio of clients nationwide. They are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self‑motivated Asbestos Project Manager based in or around the Stevenage area, with applications from Hertford, Luton, London, St Albans, Harlow and the surrounding areas. Qualifications & Experience Ideally must hold the P402/P403/P404, the RSPH qualification or any other qualification pertaining to the role would be advantageous. The individual must come from a strong technical, management, sales, consultancy, contracts and project management background. Must have excellent communication, people‑management, client‑facing, leadership, organisational and presentation skills. Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package. Must be well versed with the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos. Must have significant experience working within this role and within the asbestos parameter. Key Responsibilities Deal with customers/clients with any specific issues effectively and appropriately. Generate new business leads and ensure sales targets are acquired, whilst still managing existing accounts. Implement plans for the company – improving the business continuously. Ensure that any complaints are dealt with effectively and to the customers’ satisfaction – liaising with departments. Allocate jobs – liaise with clients and contractors regarding jobs. Liaise with Managers – prepare tenders, specifications, etc. Attend meetings and provide information/feedback. Ensure all work carried out is in accordance with the Health & Safety and Quality procedures. Get involved with quotations, method statements and ASBS. Visit sites – audit and monitor the quality side. Attend company meetings as and when required. Involve in training – make presentations. Ensure that the plans and contracts undertaken are carried out effectively by staff. Ensure all quality control requirements have been completed appropriately and effectively – audits. Build and maintain a good rapport with clients. Develop new ideas for improving the business. Get involved with monthly reports, targets and Key Performance Indications and sales.
