IT Infrastructure Architect – Volkswagen Group UK Ltd Full‑time permanent role in Group IT. Reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Manager, the candidate will lead infrastructure solutions across networks, desktops, mobile devices and distributed platforms, ensuring alignment with strategic requirements. Responsibilities Provide technical lead on multiple IT projects. Propose and implement infrastructure solutions across a variety of platforms. Maintain a comprehensive infrastructure roadmap aligned with business goals, technology trends and operational requirements. Work closely with stakeholders to articulate ideas, recommendations and solutions across all organisational levels. Qualifications Broad deep understanding of the IT industry, technology and trends in infrastructure dimensions: network, servers, hosting, data storage, cloud. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Highly motivated, strong time‑management, works independently or as part of a team. Logical thinker with strong analytical skills. Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and strong technical leadership and governance experience. Experience with cloud platforms & infrastructure (AWS, Microsoft Azure – IaaS & PaaS). Experience with Microsoft stack: O365, Azure AD, AD, Windows Server, SCCM, Windows Client. Experience with Cisco network technologies. Experience managing and working with third‑party suppliers.
