Lecturer – BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance (Full‑time, Permanent) Location: London, East London Salary: £55,000 per annum (N.B. sponsorship not offered for this role) Department: Academic/Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) About the role We are looking for a Lecturer to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility is required to deliver teaching during weekdays, evenings, and weekends. What you’ll be doing Deliver management‑related modules, develop and update comprehensive course materials, assess student work, and stay current on developments in the field and student support best practices. Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess student work ensuring all learning outcomes are met. Develop, update, and improve course materials. Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials. Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties. Stay up to date with developments in your field and student support practices. Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression. Qualifications Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable). Previous UK HE lecturing experience in a wider subject area. Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter. Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback. Experience with accurate reporting and maintaining thorough and organised student records. Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills. Ability to work with diverse groups of people. Desirable Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme within the probationary period and complete within three years, or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
