Assisting with the cleansing of the highways and footpaths throughout the City and within the parks and open spaces, ensuring DEFRA grade A standards are achieved. About the role: Removal of litter Servicing street litter bins Street sweeping Removing weeds, graffiti, fly-tipping and fly-posting Gathering evidence required for prosecutions Driving a Council Streetscene vehicle Steam cleaning We are looking for someone who: Experience of working independently and part of the team Experience of working outdoors in all conditions and a willingness to complete a number of cleansing tasks as directed Capable of working effectively without supervision Able to complete daily and weekly task sheets, where appropriate Capable of diverting working schedules as directed in response to emerging issues i.e spillages, accidents et.
