OverviewManaging Associate - Employment Lawyer (5+ PQE)Location : LeedsThe RoleWe are recruiting a Managing Associate - Employment Lawyer (5+ PQE) to join a highly regarded Employment team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising major employers across a range of sectors, with responsibility, client contact, and clear progression to senior leadership roles.About the TeamThe team supports a broad range of clients across sectors such as financial services, retail, transport, energy, manufacturing, and the public sector. The work includes strategic advisory mandates, sensitive disputes, HR project delivery, and complex workforce change.Typical matters include :Employment tribunal litigationBusiness restructuring, redundancy and TUPESenior exits, whistleblowing and discrimination issuesIndustrial relations and trade union mattersEmployment aspects of corporate and outsourcing transactionsWhat You\'ll Be DoingIn this role, you will :Advise on both contentious and non-contentious employment mattersLead complex client relationships and act as a key point of contactWork on major restructuring projects, tribunal claims, and strategic HR issuesDraft and negotiate settlement agreements, contracts, policies and HR documentationSupport business development initiatives and help grow client accountsLead on mentoring and supporting junior team membersEngage with leadership, training and development programmesWhat We're Looking For5+ years\' PQE in employment law with experience across contentious and advisory workStrong technical skills and excellent drafting abilityExperience handling tribunal litigation and advisory projects such as TUPE, restructuring, and senior exitsStrong client-facing skills with the ability to build trusted long-term relationshipsCommercial awareness and a practical, solutions-focused approachOrganised, proactive and confident managing multiple mattersA collaborative mindset with an interest in mentoring and supporting othersIf this opportunity could be of interest, please contact Aimee Mann at Sellick Partnership .Sellick Partnership is proud to be an inclusive and accessible recruitment business and we support applications from candidates of all backgrounds and circumstances.
