Role Overview The Platform team builds the foundation that enables our engineering teams to move faster and innovate with confidence. In this pivotal technical‑leadership role, you’ll shape the future of our developer platform, designing, building, and evolving the foundational services and automation that power Dojo’s products. Responsibilities Define and drive the long‑term technical strategy for platform infrastructure, balancing reliability, scalability, and developer experience. Partner with engineering leaders, product teams, and platform engineers to align platform capabilities with organizational goals. Research, evaluate, and introduce cutting‑edge cloud‑native technologies and practices to continuously evolve the platform. Advocate for tooling and infrastructure that enhances developer experience by reducing cognitive overhead and accelerating feedback. Establish and promote best practices for monitoring, incident response, and platform maintenance, driving automation of operational tasks. Mentor and coach Platform engineers, fostering technical curiosity and shared ownership. Qualifications Proven track record of designing, building, deploying, and operating complex, scalable, and reliable backend systems and infrastructure, especially in GCP or AWS. Deep expertise in software engineering best practices, distributed system design, and cloud infrastructure, with hands‑on experience in Kubernetes, Kafka, Terraform, Crossplane, or Pulumi. Ability to lead through influence, provide technical mentorship, and shape the technical direction of an engineering organization. Strong coding skills in one or more languages such as Golang, Java, or .NET, with expertise in automated deployments and declarative configurations. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of articulating complex technical solutions clearly. Product‑led mindset focused on customer needs and business value.
