Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking Senior Neuro Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Neurology team. This is a fixed term, part‑time position based within Neuro Outpatients, offering an excellent opportunity to develop and apply specialist skills within a supportive and progressive service. As part of this role, you will provide high-quality assessment and treatment for a wide range of neurological conditions, including both upper and lower motor neurone disorders. The post also offers the opportunity to lead neurological hydrotherapy and aqua gym sessions, contributing to innovative rehabilitation pathways and patient‑centred care. We offer flexibility around working hours and contract length, and welcome informal conversations from those considering applying. Due to the nature of this fixed‑term role, weekend working and on‑call commitments are not required, unless this is something the successful candidate would be interested in pursuing. Qualifications and Experience HCPC Registration. Physio Degree or equivalent. Member of CSP or relevant clinical interest group. Clinical educators training and evidence of recent study in relevant clinical area. Evidence of some managerial training. Training and supervision to support all physio staff and students. Multidisciplinary working, completion of Band 5 rotations, and a Neuro rotation at Band 5 or 6 within the NHS. Experience at a Band 6 level in the NHS, service development/audit experience, research experience. Skills & Knowledge Organisational skills, computer literacy, ability to work under pressure with a variable caseload. Basic management skills, ability to work effectively as an individual and a team player. Facilitation, supervisory and appraisal skills, teaching skills. Responsibilities Deliver a high‑quality physiotherapy service by assessing and treating patients with complex presentations. Supervise and mentor newly qualified physiotherapists, technicians, assistants, and students while contributing to the education of MDT staff. Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and actively participate in departmental activities. Take part in the weekend and on‑call service as required; weekend working commitments will be determined based on service demands and rotational requirements. Implement relevant standards, policies, and best practices in patient care. Ensure safe use of physiotherapy equipment and report any defects. Contribute to service improvements and policy development. Additional Information UK Registration: Applicants must have current UK professional registration.
