Water Treatment Engineer – London

Job Description Our client is a highly-regarded name within the water treatment industry known for their expertise in providing water treatment/hygiene and legionella services throughout the UK. They are currently recruiting for a dedicated, experienced and reliable Water Treatment Engineer around the London area. The successful post-holder will be experienced in undertaking routine water treatment duties such as cleaning and disinfections on cooling towers, closed systems and carrying out tank cleans. Applications from Mitcham, Bromley, Epsom, Croydon and surrounding areas will be considered. Qualifications & Experience Good chemical and technical background, ideally with a City & Guilds qualification Previous experience working as a water treatment engineer and knowledge of the water treatment industry Good working knowledge of the Health & Safety regulations Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient IT skills Responsibilities Carrying out refurbishments, cleaning and disinfections of cooling towers, water systems, etc. Performing routine sampling and temperature checks, monitoring air and water systems Carrying out tank cleans Ensuring compliance with all current Health and Safety legislation Maintaining professional relationships with clients Assisting with evaporative cooling system cleaning Conducting remedial works relating to water treatment/hygiene Professional Attributes Reliable, flexible and with an excellent work ethic Ability to carry out work effectively within agreed timeframes Prepared to travel to areas designated by the client Prepared to work within confined spaces and at heights Benefits An attractive salary package, company vehicle and a range of other benefits.
