Please note that the above advertised salary will not apply if you choose to remain on AfC.Anyone currently paying into the NHS Pension scheme will be able to retain this.Person SpecificationExperienceThe post holder will have experience in service, maintenance, and repair of a range of building installations and equipmentSkills and KnowledgeThe ability to use a range of mechanical equipment (drills, lathes, electric saws, etc) and vehicles including tractors, vans with trailers and other vehicle mounted equipment to highly advanced and accurate standards of dexterity and co-ordination.Undertake frequent and occasionally strenuous activities such as lifting of doors, windows, movement of plant and materials, and manual diggingMust demonstrate good understanding of health & safetyExperience and understanding of other estates specialismsAbility to work in confined spaces as well as at height and in other unpleasant environmentsAbility to work on own initiativeAbility to justify decisions and responsibility for actionsEducation and QualificationsThe post holder must have completed a recognised and registered indentured apprenticeship, with a City and Guilds Carpentry and Joinery certificate/ NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent.A minimum of 5 GCSE or equivalent to include Maths and EnglishDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
