In this role, you’ll manage supply planning and scheduling for biscuit manufacturing sites to maximise customer service, optimise factory efficiencies, and maintain appropriate working capital. You’ll be based at our Global Head Office in Chiswick Park and work proactively in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Site Introduction In 2021, pladis proudly opened the doors to our vibrant global hub, the MIU Campus. Located in the heart of Chiswick Park, West London. Just a short 5‑minute walk from Gunnersbury Station, our campus is nestled within 33 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, offering a welcoming and inspiring environment for all. Chiswick Park is home to both our UK and Global Corporate teams, bringing together diverse teams across the business. Parking within Chiswick Park is very limited; needs to be booked in advance, we therefore recommend travelling via public transport. Working Pattern: This role offers an agile 3:2 working pattern; three days in the office and two days from home. What will this role achieve? Cross‑functional collaboration: Work closely with Demand Planning, MRP, Customer Services, and Factory Operations to make decisions that balance customer service, inventory, and cost performance. What will be your key deliverables? Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage a 12‑week capacity plan and a 2‑week production schedule to meet service levels, balancing efficiency with customer needs. Operational Excellence: Represent planning in daily factory reviews, monitor stock levels to prevent shortages, and attend monthly planning meetings to align capacity with market demand. Inventory & Waste Management: Achieve inventory targets, use analytics to reduce overproduction, eliminate dead stock, and minimise waste from raw materials and finished goods. System & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate master data in planning systems, ensure automation, and regularly update planning documents and principles in collaboration with central teams. Collaboration & Development: Demonstrate positive behaviours, support cross‑functional roles, engage in site visits, show flexibility, and contribute to projects beyond core duties. Bring your experience Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain planning processes. Some supply planning experience in FMCG (advantageous). IT literate with strong spreadsheet skills (e.g., Excel). Highly numerate and analytical. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Ability to prioritise and perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Confidence to influence and negotiate at senior levels. Happy to travel occasionally within the UK to manufacturing sites and to our Distribution Centre to build relationships with colleagues. Experience in FMCG or retail, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Understanding of Sales & Operational Planning processes. Any experience of using SAP or Citrix OMP is desirable but not essential as we can offer training. Knowledge of factory production processes and capabilities. Appreciation of business drivers and key performance metrics. Understanding of master data principles. What will the interview process be? 1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency‑based interview based on our company values and your experiences. 2nd stage interview – 60 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview. pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process.
