NEETs LecturerHullWorking Hours: 21 hours per week, 52 weeks per yearSalary: £25,500 - £39,267 FTE (Actual Salary £15,300-£23,560.20)Fixed Term until 4th July 2026Annual Leave: 30.5 days per annum (pro rata from a full time entitlement of 42 days)As our NEETs Lecturer, you will work primarily with students engaged across a range of courses providing support needed to achieve their programme of study.The post holder will need to be innovative in their teaching methods and responsible for aspects of leadership within the curriculum.Hull College provides high-quality education & training for school leavers & adults, offering a wide range of vocational study programmes, Apprenticeships & degrees.We pride ourselves on creating careers, not courses, and are committed to ensuring our learners acquire the relevant skills, knowledge, attitudes & experience to progress in life.Responsibilities of our NEETs Lecturer:Delivering high quality teaching and learning, ensuring stretch, challenge and engagement of students of all ages and abilitiesPlanning, preparing and updating all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans and online learning materials, using CanvasCoordinating and supporting course activities which will support the achievement of curriculum area targetsTaking responsibility for and facilitating academic tutorials for studentsBeing involved in the marketing, promotion, recruitment and interviewing of students, including attending open events, school tasters and enrolment events, amongst other activitiesAssessing, monitoring, and recording feedback to students to facilitate their best achievement using the College’s data systems and processes, working to exam board guidelines and quality systemsLeading, coordinating and supporting IV/IQA processes within the curriculum areaWorking closely with staff and managers within the College to ensure consistency and best practice is sharedContributing to the quality assurance processes and curriculum design within the areaMaintaining an up to date knowledge of their subject specialismCompleting all mandatory training in a timely manner and ensuring that training is updated in accordance with College guidance/regulationsActively complying and contributing to the College’s policies and procedures, particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities and Data ProtectionWhat we’re looking for in our NEETs Lecturer:Subject specialism (minimum Level 3/4)Cert. Ed/PGCE or willingness to work towardsGCSE or equivalent in Maths and EnglishExperience of working in an academic setting and working with learners to support their needsKnowledge of the specialist sectorOrganisational, administrative and time management skillsAbility to use own initiative to develop and improve the service within the constraints of the College policy and proceduresHull College is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
