Dental Nurse

We are seeking a Dental Nurse to join our clients' friendly team across three practices in Orkney. Trainee applicants are also warmly welcomed.

Hours: Full-time, 4 days per week
Schedule: 8:00am – 5:30pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
No evening or weekend hours.

Pay Rates:

Trainee Dental Nurse:

*

£11.30/hr including island allowance (20 and under)

*

£13.01/hr including island allowance (21+)

*

Qualified Dental Nurse: From £15.05/hr including island allowance

Role Overview

You will support clinicians chairside and contribute to the smooth running of daily practice operations. Key duties include:

Welcoming patients and helping create a calm, reassuring atmosphere,

*

Maintaining accurate patient records using the practice management system,

*

Preparing surgeries for each session and ensuring efficient workflow,

*

Anticipating clinician and patient needs, including equipment and lab work,

*

Managing surgery stock levels,

*

Assisting with reception tasks such as appointment booking and payment handling,

What We're Looking For

Qualified applicants: Current GDC registration,

*

Experience in private and/or public dental services,

*

Strong commitment to excellent patient care,

*

Ability to work independently and within a team,

*

Enthusiastic, adaptable, and keen to learn,
