MSK Outpatient Paediatric PhysiotherapistThis is a fixed term post for 12 months providing specialist MSK Outpatient physiotherapy to children and young people (CYP) in outpatient clinic settings. The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner delivering a specialist physiotherapy service to a designated caseload of CYP with a range of musculoskeletal issues and/or physical and mobility difficulties. A significant proportion of these children may have English as an additional language (EAL). The post holder will manage their own caseload across multiple clinic sites and work collaboratively with CYP, parents/carers and colleagues in Health, Education and Social Services in planning and delivering services.ResponsibilitiesProvide specialist MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy services to children and young people with a variety of MSK conditions within HillingdonProvide specialist advice, programmes and treatment plans to others regarding the management and care of CYP with MSK conditionsSupervise the work of band 5 physiotherapists and students as requiredBe professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own clinical practiceUndertake comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with diverse or complex presentations, using specialist knowledge and clinical reasoning to provide a clinical diagnosisFormulate and deliver specialised individual physiotherapy treatment programmes based on sound knowledge and experienceEvaluate patient progress, reassess and alter treatment programmes as requiredFormulate clinical diagnoses and prognoses, make recommendations for intervention, and develop short- and long-term goals leading to a discharge planWork in the community setting, which may include lone working with telephone support from a senior physiotherapist if requiredBe responsible for safe and competent use of all equipment and appliances used by patientsQualificationsEnthusiastic, HCPC registered PhysiotherapistExcellent Paediatric musculoskeletal skillsInterest in clinical audit / evidence-based practice / quality improvement projectsNHS Physiotherapy experienceWe offerFriendly work environmentsOpportunities for supported CPDClinical supervision from experienced Band 7sVaried caseloadInvolvement with service development and redesignOpportunities for managerial experience/trainingOuter London Weighting & Cost of Living AllowanceYou will work across small outpatient clinics at GP surgeries/health centres and Hillingdon child development centre at Wood End Clinic. #J-18808-Ljbffr
