As a Field Engineer at ZTP, you will be responsible for completing on-site work across the UK, including electrical tasks and surveying. The role involves significant travel and requires all work to be completed to a high standard, in compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

*Support the development of designs and provide technical assistance to the Field Services Department and wider ZTP business.

*Engage with external resources to acquire and validate quotations for planned and specialised site work.

*Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine equipment needs and ensure safety compliance.

*Identify and support technical upskilling initiatives while maintaining quality, health, and safety standards.

*Conduct desktop and field surveys to enable design, quoting or issue resolution.

*Undertake small electrical installations and load monitoring at client site.

*Attend staff, customer, regulatory, manufacturer, and DNO meetings as required.

*Document work performed, update technical reports, and report completed tasks promptly.

*Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.

*Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and manage expectations.

*Travel to field sites across the UK, including remote or rural locations.

Experience / Knowledge

Essential:

*Experience of electrical installation projects

*Hands-on experience in electrical installation and testing

*Experience surveying telecoms electrical equipment

Desired:

*Experience working on telecoms electrical infrastructure

*Knowledge of DNO management

*Understanding of telecoms access procedures

Educations, Training & Qualifications:

Essential:

*Health & Safety qualification, e.g., Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or SMSTS

*C&G 2382-18 – BS7671 18th Edition Amendment 2

*C&G 2391 – Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations

Desirable:

*Roof Top Worker Safety & Access (MATS approved)

*RF Safety Awareness

*MOCOPA Accreditation

*Project Management qualifications
