Senior Quantity Surveyor - Water IndustryJoin RPS as a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support major long‑term water industry projects across the UK.About the TeamRPS Water Consulting combines engineering, modelling and data analytics to deliver asset management and operational strategy for water sector clients. Working on flagship AMP8/AMP9 programmes, you’ll shape delivery for the next 20 years.About YouYou are an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with technical and commercial expertise in wastewater infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary water experts on capital delivery projects, driving innovation and delivering value to clients.Your ResponsibilitiesSupport the team to achieve high client satisfaction and project outcomes.Demonstrate strong technical capability and commercial understanding of cost and value drivers.Capture and share knowledge, driving service innovation and continually improving cost control.Communicate with excellence, maintaining a professional outlook.Provide high‑quality quantity surveying and cost control services across relevant sectors.Travel to multiple sites as required by the client.Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceLead sourcing and contracting solutions, including tender pack development and award.Prepare detailed cost estimates, negotiate and analyse tender and contract costs.Monitor contractor and supplier performance, implementing cost‑saving strategies.Certify progress payments and manage claims, variations, and change orders.Maintain accurate project financial records, contracts and correspondence.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.Valid driving licence.ICS Chartered status or willingness to work towards chartership.What’s in it for youA personal development plan and a transparent career pathway put you in the driving seat of your career.
