Occupational Therapy Clinical Specialist - Respiratory / MedicineFollowing the opening of our brand-new Respiratory Unit, we are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist with experience and a special interest in respiratory care to join our dynamic team at Frimley Park.Are you:Passionate about delivering outstanding patient care?Looking to build on your skills, clinical expertise, and leadership abilities?An excellent communicator with a flexible and solution-focused approach?Committed to CPD, education, service development, and mentoring others?Do you want to:Be challenged professionally and encouraged to think creatively?Play a key role in developing a motivated, skilled and future-focused OT workforce?Work in a supportive service led by an experienced Head of Occupational Therapy?What we offer:Excellent learning and development opportunities, regular supervision, peer support and appraisal.Dedicated training and guidance in quality improvement, supported by Practice Development post holders.Opportunities to influence service delivery and shape the future of Occupational Therapy within the respiratory and medical specialities.About the role:As a Band 7 Clinical Specialist, you will take a lead in shaping the Occupational Therapy service for respiratory and medical patientsYou will also work hand-in-hand with the Medical Team Lead OT to ensure patients within the Medical and Older Persons directorate receive excellent, patient-centred services.Main duties of the jobTo provide expert clinical support and advise, alongside the OT Team Leader, linking closely with multi-professional colleagues.To hold a clinical caseload, providing excellent, high-quality person-centred clinical management, including patients who have complex acute and chronic presentations, determining the functional deficits and OT treatment within an acute setting.To strive to provide a service fit for today and the future, considering and inputting into the latest evidence-based practice, developing personal leadership to support clinical and service growth and staff development.The post holder will be the Clinical Specialist to support and facilitate Occupational Therapy Service with key roles in the development of a competent, knowledgeable workforce, equipping them to provide high-quality person-centred care.The successful candidate will be expected to provide assessment, treatment, advice, evaluation and clinical management at an advanced level for patients who have complex, acute and chronic presentations.Participation in a 7-day working roster and bank holiday cover.Our teams across all sites have a friendly, supportive atmosphere and a real team ethic.
