This role involves providing a quality service of bulk explosive delivery to customers sites in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.Safety is our priority, and we are looking for someone reliable and highly committed to our safety standards.What you will be doingOperating/Driving MMUs and ensuring equipment prestart complianceDriving and collecting/delivering class 1 productsPerforming MMU calibration and quality control complianceConducting basic fault finding and repairsLoading/unloading raw materialsHandling explosives and assisting Shotfirers with shot preparationMeasuring holesStemming holes and operating ancillary equipmentEnsuring safe driving and TMP complianceUsing, handling, and storing raw materials and dangerous goods according to SDS requirementsMinimizing environmental damage through waste controlReporting all unusual incidents and accidents immediatelyParticipating in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetingsMaintaining personal training against the Orica training matrix for your rolePerforming other ancillary duties, including relief at other locations, as instructed by the supervisorAssisting clients in achieving targets and maintaining productionNotifying Orica site management of any variations in product specification, appearance, or performanceWhat you will bringh3>HGV Class 2 LicencePhysically fit due to the nature of the roleAvailability to start early, usually around 4amWillingness to spend occasional nights away to cover leaves at other sitesValid driver CPC cardTacho CardValid ADR card (preferable, but not mandatory)Good communication skillsUnquestionable reputation for integrityWhat we offerAs part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
