Utilities Surveyor We are an established construction and civil engineering company seeking an experienced Utilities Surveyor to support ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to play a key role in our growing business, with potential for long‑term progression. Key Responsibilities Operate specialised utility locating equipment such as electromagnetic locators, ground penetrating radar (GPR), and CCTV pipe inspection systems. Interpret technical plans, drawings, and maps to accurately identify and record underground utilities. Prepare detailed survey reports, including recommendations for utility relocations or risk mitigation. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and best practices for underground utility locating. Collaborate with project teams to support planning and design phases. Requirements Proven experience as a Utilities Surveyor within the civil engineering or construction sector. Proficiency in utility detection equipment (EML, GPR, CCTV). Strong understanding of utility mapping standards and survey reporting. Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy. Own transport and survey instruments (for agency / freelance arrangements). UK driving license and own car. Additional Information Contract Type: Ad hoc agency basis initially, transition to permanent employment. Progression: Opportunity for internal promotion to Contracts Manager for the right candidate as the business grows. Day Rate: Negotiable, depending on experience (DOE). Interview Process: Telephone interview preferred as initial stage.
