Teaching Assistant (Temporary) Job start date: 5th January 2025. Fixed term until July 2026. Pay: TA1‑TA2 Points 1‑6, £14,489.45 – £19,281.03 per annum (pay scale will depend on qualifications and experience). Working days: Monday to Thursday, with the possibility of including Friday.Hours: 25 hours up to 31.25 hours per week. We are committed to providing high‑quality learning for all children and are looking to recruit a class‑based Teaching Assistant to support children or a child on a 1:1 basis. The role includes breakfast supervision from 7:45 am to 8:20 am. This post is suitable for an experienced Teaching Assistant or for applicants who are in the process of gaining a TA qualification. Further support and training will be available. Key Responsibilities Support class instruction and individual learning needs. Assist with classroom activities and create stimulating learning opportunities. Provide support during breakfast club, preparing and serving light breakfast. Support the Breakfast Club Supervisor in looking after children. Qualities We Are Looking For An interest in, and love of, working with children. The ability to work as part of a team. Imaginative in delivering and supporting stimulating learning opportunities for children. Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job. Demonstrate versatility, tact, commitment and the ability to use initiative. Be patient, able to stay calm, listen, and value children’s views. Good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
